agreed...the refs decided the Flyers game tonite. 1 horrible call on a replay and 1 horrible call on a penalty

that game was an embarassment to the league..The refs completely blew that game for the flyers..Who seen richards throw a knee into that guy? What? No one? thats right because it didn't happen. Yet the Habs ended up on the PP to tie the game.
Or how about the goal with the high stick. The stick was clearly above the cross bar. Such much above it that it landed on the top of it as it came back down...
The flyers run is probably over. There is no way they can overcome this kind of one sided penalty calling. You know, when people said the league didn't want the flyers to advance past the Caps, I blew it off. But after watching tonights game, I'm sure they are right.

that game was bought and sold in canada, there was no way that wasnt high sticking, i mean hell it hit the top cross bar on the way down! that last goal should have made it only 3-2. the flyers are gonna have to play with a chip on their shoulder after that one

That 3rd goal should have never happend and OT should have never happened. Richards had a clean, beautiful hit with his SHOULDER. Making a call like that with the game in the balance is horrible, if this keeps up,the NHL will lose a good bit of the few fans they have.

Really classy fans there in Montreal throwing stuff into the penalty box at the players. But, it didn't happen in Philadelphia so you won't hear about it in the media.

same as all the trash thrown by the cap fans. If that happened in philly they would still be talking about it on PTI.

it really was sad, for the second series in a row, we dominate the first game and come away with nothing. they always say that they dont want officiating to play a big part in games, especially playoffs, and they put their foot in their mouth tonight. obviously all of this is philly bias but i guarantee that many people watching this game agree with us. i really am just disappointed that it came down to that, against a team like the canadiens, getting one on the road would have really put us in a good spot, but instead we got come at them even harder on saturday. tough, tough night

How about we cry about it? The Wild already got screwed by officiating and they're actually OUT of the playoffs. Bad officiating can be played through with stellar play.

First off Richards stuck his knee way out that was pretty clear and that's a call that will be made every time cause it's a play that could cause serious injury. Then why don't you play some defense in OT, I saw 4 flyers past the circle while Kostopoulos banged at a couple of rebounds. Quit whining, bad calls happen to everyone, the good teams just overcome them.

we're are not talking about bad calls, we are talking about terrible ones, and despite the richards call the game still should have only been 3-2, high sticks can't score goals.

I was watching Sportscenter shortly after the game ended and they didnt even mention the high stick or the bogus penalty which i thought was eff'ed up. It was just a dissapointing game...but come on...we were ahead by two goals. Stevens needs to do something about this. It's getting old. We MUST win on Saturday or I think its over.

i agree about the win on saturday, but come on espn wanted Ovie to win, of course they would down play anything that would promote the flyers

most def fixed.. how do you go up stairs and still blow the call...if u see the angle from behind his stick was way over the crossbar..and the penalty was insane the guys trys a shifty move going laterally and richards checks him but a penalty cause he falls awkward, thats great... i was a huge hockey fan before the rule change and every time i get crazy about it, the NHL ruins it...turn on ESPN they act like they were all the right calls, doesn't make sense to me but seems like the only people that care are the fans and not the players or ownership so f*ck it

The Richards hit looked like a penalty at first, I thought, but after the review it was clearly his shoulder/arm that sat Kovalev down. Aside from that, the Habs second goal was far more clear. Kovalev, with a "top to bottom" swinging motion swatted the puck into the net from above the cross bar. I don't understand how the refs did not see "conclusive evidence" that it was a high stick. During his swatting motion, he hit the cross bar on the way down with the blade of his stick, yes the same blade that knocked the puck in. One can only conclude at that point that the puck was in fact above the crossbar and that it was hit with a stick while it was above the crossbar. It's baffling because it was a Ref Team led by Don Van Massenhoven, who is probably one of the most experienced in the league. All you Philly haters just be men and agree that the refs shit the bed on that one. I can let the Richards penalty go as a bargaining chip, but the Kovalev goal set me off. If I have accomplished nothing more than venting I am satisfied.

The first two periods were given to you by the refs but like all Philaselfdestructian teams they choke. Philly is cursed and I don't know why. Rocky 15 has to come out soon. Yeah that's the ticket. GO LES HABITANTES!
