Caps Take a Dump: Send Zednik to Islanders for second-round pick

The New York Islanders, locked in a tight race to make the Eastern Conference playoffs, added some offense Monday when they acquired winger Richard Zednik from the Washington Capitals for a second-round draft pick in 2007. The Caps are out of it loseing their last five games and are looking towards next season. Could this move for the Isles be a set up to trade away Jason Blake?

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa, no way! The Isles better NOT throw away their chance at staying in 8th by donating Blake to some other team in the West (as what big rumors are sayin'). I think Zednik will be a nice addition for the Isles; perhaps he'll be more consistent than Satan & Koz?

I think the Isles have a decent shot w/o Blake...he's only scored 2 goals in the last 11 games...plus his stock is as high as it's ever going to get...remember, he's 33 and wants a five year deal...htink about that.

Hmmm...you're right. But, guess the Isles decided to keep him for now!!
