Sportsnet's Hockey Central panel reported this afternoon that Peter Forsberg has crossed Nashville, Detroit, and Dallas off his list of desirable N.H.L. cities. A story on TSN.ca goes on to suggest that the Flames, Penguins, and Sharks have all received the Foppa chop, as well.

Now that the injury-plagued Flyers know that Peter Forsberg isn't returning this year, they are looking into other ways to improve their club. Richards is a spot of contention as he'll have to be traded to a top team willing to take a big cap hit. That means teams with a young nucleus and alot of money will be the only bidders, none of which are included among the top 5-6 teams in the league. This makes it unlikely Richards will agree to the deal and thus void it altogether.
