Battle of New York:
Battle of New York has Chris Simon's complete apology. It obviously wasn't written by Simon himself, but it's an interesting take on how he percieves the events that took place the other night. He claims that due to a concussion he barely even remembered the incident until he saw the video.
Do you buy Simon's response?

Eh, I do believe that it's possible to have a "heat of passion" response and/or momentary psychotic episode, which is what this out to be called, but no matter what, he's crazy. Even though I'm an Islander fan and love his defensework, his suspension serves as an example that when you intend to hurt someone so hard in hockey, it's just not gonna fly.

Agreed. It doesn't really matter if the apology is legit or not. I hope it is, but regardless he deserves a lengthy suspension.
