Ryan Getzlaf of the Anaheim Ducks represents just one of several head-to-toe contracts that have reached with Easton Hockey Easton Hockey today announced the signing of multi-year, head-to-toe contract extensions with NHL All-Stars Zdeno Chara (Boston Bruins) and Ryan Getzlaf (Anaheim Ducks), in addition to deals with Brent Burns (Minnesota Wild), Derek Roy (Buffalo Sabres) and Mike Cammalleri (Montreal Canadiens). In addition to wearing and marketing Easton Hockey gear, signees will be part of Easton’s global marketing campaign entitled Confidence Is Everything. Endorsees will also be involved with the development of future Easton designs. “To add this group of NHL headliners to our list of 300-plus elite athletes using Easton gear, really speaks to the equipment more than anything,” said Mark Hughes, Director of Sports Marketing and Athletes for Easton Hockey. “There’s a reason more guys in the NHL are using Easton sticks than any other manufacturer in hockey, just as there’s a reason these elite players signed with us – they want the best equipment on the ice. We plan to provide to them, night in and night out.” In extending Chara and Getzlaf, Easton retains the NHL’s 2008-09 Norse Trophy winner and a 2007 Stanley Cup Champion. The extension for Burns means one of the league’s best defensive talents remain in the Easton camp. The additions of Roy and Cammalleri to the list of endorsees give Easton a proven pressure player – Roy was sixth in the NHL with nine game-winners last season – and a Top-10 goal scorer. Terms of the deals were not disclosed.
