First Time In Franchise History: Ottawa

Ladies and Gentleman, the last time the original Ottawa Senators won the Stanley Cup was in 1927 but now the current #4 seed Ottawa Senators have made it to the Stanley Cup Finals. Heatley and Spezza having already scored their respective goals, Alfredsson made his at 9:32 in OT to beat the Sabres in Buffalo 3-2. No more buffalo wings this season. There's still peking duck and calamari.

I was initially shocked by the progress of this series btw Ottawa and Buffalo, but then it was quickly clear that the Heatley-Spezza-Alfredsson line is truly legendary. I really hope Anaheim wins now so that we will have a brand new, never-won-before Stanley Cup winner!!
