In the second period of last night's Flyers - Capitals game, the Flyers' top defenseman Kimmo Timonen was thrown into the net. Timonen was injured on the play and left the game. The way he was holding his arm many thought it was a serious injury. Timonen addressed the media today at the Flyers practice facility and said he feels fine and will play in game four tomorrow night...

During his commentary between periods of Sunday's Flyers - Capitals game, NBC "analyst" Mike Milbury had a slip of the tongue and called the Washington Capitals, the "Washington Craps." Or at least he says it was a slip of the tongue.

Stephen Colbert is spending the week in Philadelphia, and in an attempt to pander to Philly sports fans, he has created an interesting, four-in-one Phillies/Flyers/Eagles/Sixers jersey.

As seen on these pages, Mike Milbury called the Washington Capitals the "Crapitals" during the second intermission of Sunday's NHL playoff game between Washington and the Flyers. It seems, some folks didn't find it as funny as I did.

Flyers fans feared the worst after top defenseman Kimmo Timonen was forced to leave yesterday's game after being checked into the Capitals goal, but it appears that he could be ready to play again as soon as Thursday. Timonen left the game in the second period to get X-rayed, but, according to Flyers GM Paul Holmgren, the results were negative. Timonen is listed as day-to-day...

Here are some random thoughts I have when watching the last two Philadelphia wins.
Where are the two Alexes? Ovechkin seems tied up. Philadelphia clearly has a game plan to not allow Ovechkin to beat them. They are doing it effectively.
