Flyers Down 0-2; Whose Fault is it?

In any playoff series , in any sport, when a team is down 0-2 the blame game starts with one person and ends with another. The Flyers situation is no different. Down 0-2 and headed home. They played badly game one, maybe even giving the game away to the Pens. Not taking anything away front what the Penguins do but the Flyers truly beat themselves in game 1. In game 2 the Flyers put up a good effort, cut down on the mistakes and played a physical brand of hockey. However, still a two goal loss, why? Are the Penguins that much better? Some idiotic reporter in Pittsburgh things so. I believe he said something to the effect of " Can't this one be over in 3?" Going on to say that he doesn't feel that anyone thinks this series will go more then five games. First with Alexander Ovechkin and the Capitals, then with the heavily favored Montreal Canadians, and now with the "face" of the NHL Sidney Crosby the Flyers are once again the very very very unpopular pick.

I would say most of the fault lies with Fleury, Malkin and Crosby. It's not that the Flyers are playing poorly, but the Penguins have stepped up their game in every game this playoffs and keep on improving. The first thing the Flyers need is a win and then maybe (the key word is maybe) they may be able to right their ship. Heading to Philly should help, but we'll just have to wait and see.

u know what, the curse is still in effect. i thought it might have died down since they put the mini william penn on top of the comcast center, but now after losing our top 2 defensmen at the worst possible time i now c that we are still cursed with no end in sight. WTF!!!!! y???? y does these types of things always happen when we have such a good thing going for us in any sport. people in other cities wonder y we're always so bitter, well this is y!!! year after year after year, its the same old story. sports is one of the biggest things that makes me feel good inside, n when this crap happens to ur teams its just so depressing n frustrating. if u live in philly, the day after an eaglesd win or any big win by any of the other teams is such a good day with everyone in a good mood. but the day a team loses an important game, this city is DEAD the day after. sometimes i wish we didnt even have any sports teams so we had less stress in our lives.

It is the Flyers fault....they have been outplayed in most facets of the game in Games 1-3....but particularly in Game 3. As much as you hate to admit it, the Penguins are the better team at this point in the post-season. They are skilled and confident and making few mistakes. Most people won't admit it, but the Penguins are very solid defensively and in net. Offensively, they are playing very well and getting balanced scoring. I commend the Flyers for doing as well as they have this season after last season's forgettable performance. They have had a very impressive run so far. I think they have met their match in the Penguins and are showing signs of running out of gas, however.
