The Flyers left the ice with a win, but the night will be remembered primarily for one moment in the second period when Mike Richards lined up Florida's David Booth with a huge open ice check that left the Panther face down on the ice until he was rolled off on a stretcher. The Flyers also took it to the Panthers on the scoreboard, dominating the game 5-1 on the strength of two Danny Briere goals, solid defensive play, and some good goaltending by Ray Emery.
