After a forgettable first period, the Flyers got their acts together and held off the Islanders to win 3-2 today. We'll know more about the playoff seedings after tonight's Penguins game, but at least the Flyers did their part to hold on to home-ice advantage (helped by the Hurricanes, who lost).
The highlight today was Joffrey Lupul's second period goal, giving him 25 for the season and the Flyers a new club record with six different players scoring 25 or more goals in a single season. They're also the only team in the NHL to do it this year. It was a pretty sweet goal too, dragging the puck with the toe of his stick to deke the defenseman and freeze the keeper. Video ATJ.
Depth at forward is clearly the Flyers' strength heading into the playoffs, and they'll really benefit from keeping at least two lines hot in any given game.
