Before General Manager John Muckler was fired from the Ottawa Senators, he was reportedly involved in a trade discussion that included Coyotes defenseman Derek Morris for Senators goaltender Martin Gerber.
Lately, Morris has been involved with the off-season promotional campaigns for the franchise (open house, upcoming draft party) and it is possible that he will not be with the team at the start of the season.
In terms of value, is Gerber worth more to the Coyotes franchise than Morris?

Lately, the talk in Phoenix has been goaltending, however a new development might cause a dustup in the valley.
The Tampa Bay Lightning need to clear cap space because their top three forwards hold $22 million against the cap. Because of the Lightning's success, their players in the development system are not coming along as quickly, and they could not acquire a solid top...

Tampa Bay Lightning General Manager Jay Feaster shot down the earlier report today about a trade involving his center Brad Richards with those teams that have the high first round draft pick (i.e. Phoenix, Chicago, Philadelphia).
Richards is not going anywhere and Feaster is trying to get players to play with him in Tampa Bay.
Therefore, Brad Richards will be in a Lightning...

Wayne Gretzky was interviewed yesterday by CTV's eTalk about his thoughts regarding the Nashville Predators potential sale and relocation to Southern Ontario.
NHL Commissioner Gary Bettman insists that the transaction details are very premature and that even though potential new owner Jim Balsillie has good intentions, it's still not a done deal.
