Why did the Canadiens trade Cristobal Huet? In the end, I suppose it comes down to money and the fact that he is a pending free agent. While trading a great goaltender on the verge of free agency happens every year, it doesn't tend to be a daily form of business for teams currently contending for first overall in the Eastern Conference.
