New York Islander Chris Simon is facing another serious suspension after attempting to injure another player. During the Islander / Penguin game Saturday night, Simon took down Jarkko Ruutu and stepped on his leg with his skate.

First off I hope that Derrick LaPoint has a speedy recovery. From the video and the picture that I saw of the injury it does not look good for LaPoint. Derrick LaPoint has made some great strides in his development this season and has played pretty well after having a little bit of a tough start.
