Osgood to Start Game 5
Mike Babcock had planned to only use Dominik Hasek throughout the playoffs. Even though Chris Osgood had played in more games, had fewer loses, had a better GAA, save% and no penalty minutes to Hasek's 12, Osgood was watching Hasek start against the Nashville Predators. In game 4 Babcock changed his plan and pulled Hasek in the second period after he let in 3 goals on 14 shots. Chris Osgood then took his place in net and stopped all 13 shots he saw but the Red Wings still lost 3-2. Now Babcock has deiced that Osgood will start game 5 back in Detroit in hopes that a goaltender change will stir things up a bit and bring some life back to the President's Trophy winners.
