In the second period of the Washington Capitals 5-4 overtime loss to the Columbus Blue Jackets, Alexander Ovechkin fell to the ice awkwardly after getting twisted up with Raffi Torres(notes). He got up, favoring his left side, and immediately skated to the Capitals bench before heading to the locker room. The Capitals are calling it an "upper body" injury, and at one point during the game GM George McPhee was saying Ovechkin could return. But he missed most of the second period and ...
