Michael Peca is interested in becoming a member of the New York Rangers, but has given the team a deadline by which they need to sign him otherwise he will consider other offers.
"We're probably going to force the issue by (today). If I can't reach him (today), we'll just go our separate way," Peca's agent Don Meehan told the NY Daily News. "I've tried to reach him (yesterday and Sunday) and can't. And I'm working with time constraints now. I've got to find out where he stands."
The two-time Selke Trophy winner certainly has interest in coming into New York.
"Obviously, over the last few years they've added some players that can contribute to a pretty good squad. I think anybody on the outside would look at that situation and hope there's a fit."
