FLYERS: It's being reported the Flyers and Ray Emery have reached a deal pending a few details. The contract would not be officially signed till the July 1st start of free agency if reports hold true. This would spell the end to Marty Biron in Philly. A few reports have surfaced that Biron is asking for too much money and years. If this is true, I don't like it one bit. I am all for giving people second chances, but Emery is a dangerous stretch. This could really backfire. The Flyers have a good young nucleus that can hopefully win a championship(s) in the next few years. If Emery blows up in their face, it could cost them that chance. More to come on this story as we approach NHL free agency. Here is a good link for more detail: http://csnphilly.com/pages/landing_09?Panaccio-Flyers-to-Sign-G-Emery=1&blockID=56999&feedID=717Eagles:The Eagles are currently holding OTA's this week. Here are the top 3 stories so far:1) Brian Westbrook dinged his ankle somehow. He apparently complained to Eagles trainer Rick Burkholder last week that the ankle was bothering him. He went today to the doctor to get it checked out. More news to come when available....2) Sheldon Brown is a no-show for these voluntary workouts. Not that big of a deal, but teams seem to take it to heart. Will see.... I guess it's not all patched up and peachy keen as both sides initially said after Banner and Brown met.3) It's been reported the Eagles and the McNabb camp have been talking contract for about a month. Apparently they are working on a two year restructuring deal instead of an extension. Donovan McNabb finally talked to the media briefly today for the first time since the NFC Championship Game loss. He would not talk about his contract situation but offered up his NBA title predictions. "Lakers in 6" says McNabb.
