Today, the Phoenix Coyotes trade center Kevyn Adams for 26-year-old winger Radim Vrbata from the Chicago Blackhawks. The Blackhawks get a solid veteran player with plenty of playoff and Stanley Cup Final experience, plus he's an excellent face-off man.
Unfortunately, I didn't want to see Adams go, but in this case, the Coyotes fill a much needed spot with Vrbata.
Both sides benefit from the trade today.

Savard gets Extension with Blackhawks
My longtime childhood Hockey hero did a fair enough job last year to earn an extension from Chicago. The Hawks went 24-30-7 in their 61 games under Savard. It seems that the "Circle Sniper" (my nickname for him), will remain their coach until at least 2009.
