Second-period goals by the Predators' David Legwand and Dan Hamhuis have given Nashville a 3-1 lead after two periods. Legwand scored unassisted at 3:20, skating into the slot between Zach Boychuk, Brandon Sutter and Tim Conboy and zipping a shot past the Canes' Cam Ward. Hamhuis scored late in the period off a perfect feed from Michael Santorelli, who scored the Preds' first goal of the game. ...   Neither team could score in the first 17 minutes of the game, then there were two goals 58 seconds apart as the first period ended in a 1-1 tie.   Erik Cole gave the Canes a 1-0 lead with a power-play goal at 17:10, with assists from Zach Boychuk and Chad LaRose.
