Well over at CapGeek.com we have a reported signing of Marcel Goc to a 1 year, 2-way deal worth $550,000.
I have placed a call to the Predators Media Relations and they could not confirm the signing, but there have been talks about Mr. Goc. So this means the signing might have occurred, and just hasn't been prepped for release just yet.

The Marcel Goc signing by the Preds is being railed and hailed by some. Both sides have valid arguments of course.
Here's my view on it. You essentially replaced Scott Nichol. This moves further deepens the competition on the bottom two lines and provides some NHL experienced depth.
Now, I can't quite come to you and say this move IMPROVED the team just yet. I do know...

Quick Hits:
Several sources this morning have told me that Sykora is down to two teams. Philly and Buffalo. Nashville was a factor, but apparently the signing of Marcel Goc has probably taken them out of the running.
So the Preds and Sharks essentially traded Goc for Nichol.
