Flyers forward Simon Gagne has two small hernias in his right groin and could face surgery.
The Flyers left winger had an ultrasound on Monday that discovered the hernias. Flyers general manager Paul Holmgren says the team's medical staff will meet with Gagne on Wednesday to discuss his options.
Gagne has struggled this season with only one goal in nine games.

Flyers left wing Simon Gagne will need surgery to repair two hernias in his right groin area but will seek second opinions from two doctors in Canada on Thursday, Flyers general manager Paul Holmgreen said today.
Holmgren said Gagne has agreed that surgery is needed but would like to “cover all his bases” by visiting another specialist...

Simon Gagne still has some issues going on in his right groin/hip, apparently.
That's why he played just one shift in the third period of Sunday's loss to San Jose and that's why he is "doubtful" according to GM Paul Holmgren for tomorrow's game at Washington.
Gagne is undergoing an ultra sound today to determine if this is all related to his previous...

Theo Stops 41 en route to 4-2 Victory
- Just as I thought, Ovechkin, Backstrom and Semin were the key offensive factors in the Capitals victory.
