Sharks vs. Stars - Game 1 Preview: Sharks prepared to shoot the Stars!

I am going to make this short and sweet! Both hockey teams come into this series on a high note. The Sharks were able to stave off elimination and kill off their playoff demons against a physical and tenacious hockey team in the Calgary Flames. The Stars just eliminated the Stanley Cup champion Anaheim Ducks. While I do give them credit and respect for that accomplishment, Anaheim is not the same team with the same drive and hunger as it was last season, and are a perfect example of why it is so hard to repeat a run to the cup in the NHL. Nevertheless, the are the Champs, so Dallas deserves credit.

We love shooting Sharks.

We will see my friend. You may have won the first battle, but the war is far from over.

At least we evened out the home ice advantage for now. Don't underestimate the Stars. They won't be that easy to get rid of. Good luck.

Oh fiverings, i just gained alot of respect for you. im a big flyers guy (from philly of course) but i love the stars, underrated ALL SEASON, were in the early runnings for the presidents trophy, but then they slipped under the radar, and i could not be happier with all the people doubting them. the sharks are INCREDIBLY talented, but im rootin for the stars. WOO

Oh, thanks. Yes, the management change kind of lit a fire under the Stars and then they hit a slide, but it looks like they are now ready to give some people some trouble in the playoffs. Good time to get it going. No better time to get hot than in the playoffs. Should be interesting. Good luck.

That war is getting close to over, Sneaky. Think the Sharks can win four in a row?

Not so fast!! Back to Dallas we go!!

Yeah.........that disallowed goal by Morrow gave the Sharks some new life. I think he got the shaft on that one. The second takeaway I agree with, but not that one.

Excuses excuses.....The Stars have gotten all the bounces this series, so the fact that in one game the bounces went the Sharks way cant be complained about. Besides, if he did not kick the puck in, he sure as hell interfered with Nabby, as Nabby's whole right leg was pushed back or caved into the goal. Either way that goal should not have been allowed, and the refs made the right decision. That why we have video anyway, to get the calls correct, and I believe they did.

DOnt worry, the refs will be back to giving Dallas all the calls in game 6, and I think you can get over not getting all the calls in just one game.

Go Sharks!! Time For Some History !!!

The Sharks haven't gotten away with anything, huh? Right!!!!

Pretty much, other than game 5. Its going down tonight, and if your Stars can't pull this one out, then they are in some really big trouble!!

Go Sharks!!

Actually, nothing would be better than going back to San Jose and winning the thing in front of your fans. We don't have a bad record out there. I hope it doesn't come down to that, but if it does, I'm not too worried.
