i think when gagne comes back he wont go on the same line with briere and prospal i think he will go on carters line to balance out the team
Over a month ago, I discussed the possibility that Simon Gagne, who has been out since February with concussion symptoms, might return to the ice if the Flyers make the Stanley Cup Finals. Well, with the Flyers a mere four wins away from the Stanley Cup Finals, it now seems there is little hope that Gagne will be suiting up any time soon.
When asked about Gagne's possible return to the ice, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren believes he's "not an option no matter how long this thing goes". Gagne was with the team in Montreal, but he hasn't done anything on skates yet and is still far from being able to return. Holmgren feels that it would be best for Gagne to wait until next season and not try to rush back.
As I watch the Flyers this postseason, every now and then I wonder about how good this team would be with Simon Gagne in the lineup. He is a two-time 40 goal scorer and an offensive force. He would look really good on the top line, paired up with Danny Briere and...

He needs to suck it up and play... Primeau did it and lindros!!! This is a once in a life time oppurtunity!!!1 Suck it up and play Gagne!!!1
-
I'd rather he just sit out at this point, no sense in rushing him back just to get injured. Remember what happened to Lindros when he came back too soon.....
-
Yea good point on that plus scott stevens had his number.... good point on that...well the thing is they are playing so well right now he might even mix up the lineup/.
-
He was told by doctors to shut it down....suck it up? Are you serious? We'll take him back next season nice and healthy. We seem to be doing just fine with no distraction.
-
We need a stanley cup..... stanley cup stanley cup!!!!! STANLEY CUP!!!!!!!! I took back the comment, after the affects... plenty of great player came back and played after injuries!!! to win a championship learn your sports history.
-
it has nothing to do with sports history smart guy.....he would only hurt the team.....it's not like he's working out, he's not in game shape...it would be different if it were a leg or shoulder injury or something like that, this is a HEAD injury...a pretty important part of the body....he was told to shut it down....so he did....so forget history...read the news....get your facts straight before you start telling people to learn their sports "history"

Facts are straight...I took back my comment on the head issue... I was just trying to make a point that plenty of players have played with injuries in the head... Also..I am sure he is still in game shape and still skate's~~ Plus skating is like riding a bike you don't forget how.

Hockey Is Like Sex...
From The Sports Muffin blog:
I can't believe I'm saying this, but playoff hockey is SICK!!! After watching the frenetic pace of the Penguin-Ranger game today I have to admit that I may start watching more games as it gets closer to the Finals. I'm not sure why Americans have such a dislike for sports that have Goals. It must have something to do with the fact that...
Thoughts On a Failed Season | Part I
The Rangers were supposed to be better than this. That's the bottom line. GM Glen Sather added $86.75 million worth of talent up the middle in Chris Drury and Scott Gomez during the offseason and couldn't find a winger to pair with either, let alone two. While Years 1 & 2 of the Rangers' post-lockout revival have to considered resounding successes, Year 3 can'...
