Three number one goalies on the Islanders: DiPietro, Roloson and now Biron. That's 8.4 million for goalies, what gives?

They are simply not taking any chances with DiPietro's health this season. Can you blame them?

By acquiring both Roloson and Biron, they are trying to take the pressure off of both of them, since both will most likely be getting lit up like Christmas trees this coming season.

I think that is a bad move. I think it's going to cause problems amongst the goaltenders. If you're a starting goaltender, you can live with being the 2nd string goalie. You can live with being a backup. Trevor Kidd lived with it once Roberto Luongo came a long. But if you have three starting goalies, not one of them is gonna want to be the backup's backup. They believe they are too good for that. I sense tension will be breweing.
