After three straight first-round exits from the playoffs, things were getting good for the Flyers in the 1984-1985 season. They lost only three of their first twenty games, including an absolute immolation of the Vancouver Canucks on October 18th, 1984. Going against Canuck goalies John Garrett and Richard Brodeur (no relation to that other guy, presumably), the Flyers poured in goals in the double-digits, coming away with a stunning 13-2 victory.
