UFC 94 Promo Tour Highlights
Last week, Tuesday Stephen "Wonderboy" Thompson came to Montreal with his father for training. We trained a little bit - he taught me a lot of new stuff for my striking skills. His father is a very good mentor for me & a very good teacher. Unfortunately, Stephen hurt his knee and will have to do surgery for it. I left Saturday a.m. for the press tour in Vegas, and he...
When did loyalty become a bad thing?
Hey, what's up with everyone in the yard? I thought I'd stop in today to talk some hockey. Growing up in Canada, hockey was as much a part of my life as lacrosse was, and even though lacrosse fills up most of my time now days, I still find some time to be a hockey enthusiast……make that a Montreal Canadiens enthusiast!!!!
As many of you may know today was...
Eastern Conference Final Prediction: Pittsburgh Penguins (2) vs. Philadelphia Flyers (6)
It always takes me being backed up against a wall to get this series predictions done, and the puck drops in fifteen minutes, so it's probably time to get something here. Once again I'll preface this series by admitting the incredible self interest I have in it. However at the same time, these are probably the two teams I know more than any other in the league. As a Penguins...

More on fighting in the NHL.
Yesterday Hab's tough guy Georges Laraque made some waves when he said that proposing a 10 minute misconduct for fights after the face off: was the stupidest thing ever!" Laraque told TSN. "I think it's a joke. They might as well take fighting out of the NHL...fighting won't be safer; it will be eliminated because an added 10 minute misconduct is too much."...

Boston College's mighty mite signs with Buffalo
Durig the Frozen Four the Boston college Eagles led by Nathan Gerbe shredded the Fighting Sioux's defense and made them look like a bunch of pylons. Even the best NHLers bounce around
If Mark Recchi's NHL career ends in the same city where it began, it won't be by the former Pittsburgh winger's choice.
The NHL's 23rd all-time leading scorer, who cleared waivers Wednesday, is likely to get bought out and signed by another club seeking the kind of veteran leadership that he delivered in Carolina's 2006 Stanley Cup run. Recchi, a two-time Cup...

Tortorella: Lightning forwards not going anywhere
Tampa Bay Lightning head coach John Tortorella tells Damian Cristodero of the St. Petersburg Times that he believes it would be foolish to trade forwards Vincent Lecavalier, Martin St. Louis, Brad Richards.
This is what I like to hear.
This is what I like to hear come out of a hockey coach's mouth. I don't know a lot of hockey fans that like to watch the neutral zone trap. I think the Wild need to adopt this philosophy. Kind of reminds me of the days when Dean Blais was coaching for the Fighting Sioux, race horse hockey.?We want to attack,? Tortorella said. ?I?m not interested in trapping. I?m just interested...
