I'm pretty stunned. I was sure that if Forsberg would return this season, it would be for the Flyers (they are still ahead of the Avalanche in the standings). I would say the 10-game winning streak and the recent injuries to Gagne and Richards was a serious factor.

Word is Peter Forsberg will announce his plans to return this morning. Speculation is that he may be returning to the Orange and Black.
Forsberg Goes Back to Colorado
As reported earlier here, Peter Forsberg announced his return to the NHL. Only not with the Orange and Black, he'll be returning to the Colorado Avalanche where he won two Stanley Cups. The Avs are currently in 10th place in the Western Conference and have 1 more point then the Flyers who are currently on a 10 game skid.

In somewhat of a shock, Peter Forsberg is returning to the NHL this season - he will be returning to the Colorado Avalanche. By returning to the Avalanche, Forsberg returns to the team he spent 9 years with and won two Stanley Cups. Forsberg also won the NHL Hart Trophy with the Avs in 2003.
