The rumors have been heating up the last few weeks as to where Peter Forsberg will play this year if/when he comes back.

  • This is a good idea I think he'll sign within the next week or so
  • Peter Forsberg is one of the best players in the NHL....But he doesn't have the heart and drive to play the game. Philly can have him and his large asking price.
  • He won't come back unless his heart is in it. How can one of the best players not help?
  • It's not a matter of heart, he just can't stay healthy. He certainly was one of the best players in the NHL, but his ankle has plagued his last two comeback attempts. He couldn't get a skate that he liked, he couldn't find confidence in his cuts and strides. Ankle injuries are huge in the NHL since all maneuvering on skates relied on a strong foundation at that point.
  • I just can't see Forsberg staying healthy...he just wants to do it to see if he can do it. Never a good sign usually.
  • That's the thing. The Flyers have very little money to pay him, so he would have to take a smaller contract to play for Philly
  • I like it because it costs us no young players or draft picks. If he can't play, he can't play and the Flyers can move on. There is the question of chemistry, but how can one of the best players in the world hurt?
  • If Forsberg wants to join the Flyers i say go for it. He can still play and could upgrade the 3rd line.
  • ha, yea one of the best players once.. he can not stay healthy long enough to really serve any real purpose or good.... he plays one or two games and then is out for four or five.. so even though i love the guy, he really isn't worth what he thinks he should be paid.. not when he will be sitting out so often due to his ankle and groin problems that have been plaguing him. he is much better off retiring and just getting it over with you can't play forever, at least not the way that he plays which is why he has so many issues with his ankles and such. hate to see him leave but no point to stay if you can't really make any difference anymore.
  • Peter is for the most part done. Last year (last third of a year to be more precise), you could see he was no longer the Peter of old. He could not convert on the plays that were a routine score for him in the past, he no longer draws the top defender - instead he gets a third liner at best. Injuries have slowed him a lot...His mind says play..but his body cannot perform. All those years here in Colorado were enjoyed by all...but now is the time for Peter to listen to his body.
  • Peter played this evening in Sweden against Lulea in our Premium League, he did a stellar job, played like a KING and scored 2 goals and one assist "FOPPA" effect. Make no mistake about him, he will be back soon.....he said that he was ok, but has more to give.....now whatabout that?
