Friday afternoon the Milwaukee Admirals announced a pair of signings. Centers Paul Crowder and Mathieu Tousignant (TOO-sihn-yeh) have both been signed to American Hockey League contracts. The terms and length of the deal are undisclosed.
After playing with three teams last season -- six games for Znojmo Orli HC (Austria), sixty-eight for the Wheeling Nailers in the ECHL and two for the AHL's Wilkes-Barre Scranton -- Paul Crowder landed in Milwaukee, where he totaled two assists in five games with the club. The Victoria, British Columbia native played two seasons (2010-11 and 2011-12) for the Nailers while Admirals' assistant coach Stan Drulia was head coach there.
Crowder, an undrafted 28-year-old, has yet to make an NHL appearance, but has played ninety-seven games in the AHL scoring thirty-one points (12g, 19a).
