If you would have asked me before the game if I'd be happy with a point tonight, I would have said yes. The Milwaukee Admirals got a point, but lost much more than that tonight against Oklahoma City. In a game facing one of the most stacked teams in the AHL, the Admirals would have to come out with their full effort to have a chance tonight.   After a scoreless first period that saw the Admirals out shoot OKC 9-7, Austin Watson would get the visiting team on the board first early in the 2nd period. After a hit by Gabriel Bourque at the blueline to hold the zone, he fired a puck towards the net where Watson collected it and fired a backhanded shot over the right shoulder of Yann Danis to give Milwaukee a 1-0 lead. The goal gave Watson points in 4 straight games. Milwaukee held the lead until the midway point of the 2nd period, when Barons defenseman Taylor Fedun picked up his first professional goal on a slap shot from the point to tie the game at 1.  The score remained tied after regulation, despite Milwaukee outshooting Oklahoma City 40-24. In the overtime period, Barons center Mark Arcobello was able to notch the game winner 3:18 into the extra frame. Barons goalie Yann Danis was named first star after stopping 43 of 44 shots. This game won't be remembered for the goals or the final score though. The Admirals lost 2 players to injuries as both Kevin Henderson and Taylor Beck were both forced to leave the game early. In the first period, Henderson was sandwiched between Antti Tyrvainen and another Barons player, and the hit happened well away from the puck. Tyrvainen was assessed a penalty for interferance, and picked up another 5 minutes when Mark Van Guilder stood up for his fallen teammate and dropped the gloves for a small tussle.  In the third period, Admirals forward Taylor Beck and Barons defenseman Alex Plante were hustling after a loose puck towards the boards behind the net when Beck lost an edge and crashed into the end boards head first. Beck laid motionless on the ice, and was taken off on a stretcher. In the post game show, assistant coach Stan Drulia did say that Beck was talking to the players after the hit and did show hand movement as he was being taken off, but it is unknown how much time he will miss after this scary incident. Drulia did say that Henderson will be a game time decision tomorrow as the same two teams face off for a rematch Saturday night.
