As you are all well aware of, Twitter is an extremely valuable resource when it comes to following the latest in the hockey world. One such Tweeter who really seems to get that is @NHLGossip, also known as Chris Hueber. Hueber re-Tweets a lot of valuable hockey information and more importantly, is accurate when he does so. This guy is not a rumor monger and is someone who only re-Tweets what valuable and well known NHL insiders are saying. Chris was kind enough to take time out of his busy Tweeting schedule to tell us about how he got into hockey, how he came up with his Twitter account as well as his thoughts on the Buffalo Sabres and NHL free agency. PH: How did you get into hockey? CH: I grew up just outside of Buffalo and have always loved the Buffalo Sabres. I became a fan of the Sabres when I was old enough to have the patience to watch the games. I mean, the trap made the game so bad when I was really young that after the first period, I lost interest. I think I was about...

Gauthier-Leduc focused on big year

The Buffalo Sabres are loaded with talent on the blue line. They have nine, by their count, NHL ready defensemen vying for just 6 positions on the main roster. And face it, five of those spots are locked up which leaves four players fighting for one, Mike Weber, Alexander Sulzer, Brayden McNabb, and Adam Pardy. Then there is Buffalo’s third round draft choice from 2010, Jerome...

Kevin Freiheit: Hodgson primed for a breakout season

And the Doan rumors have started up once again. There was a possibility that we would hear something from Doan today, regarding which team he signs with. So far, nothing. I'm done talking about this until he signs with somebody. We've already discussed his history and what he can bring to the Sabres. For this post, I want to focus on Cody Hodgson. This is a player...

GARTH: O'Reilly Factor

Like Tyler Ennis is in Buffalo, Ryan O'Reilly is an RFA in Denver. Did you know that O'Reilly is Colorado's only unsigned player for next season? Weird, isn't it? It can be argued that Ryan O'Reilly is the best player on the Avs roster because of his carbon copy similarities to Jonathon Toews. He's a big, tough, centreman who can score and he defends all...

Kevin Freiheit: A battle of tougness

I was scrolling through my Twitter feed Sunday morning when I saw an interesting question asked by one of my favorite people I follow on there. @SabresStats - I suggest you give this guy a follow. Always posts interesting Sabres statistics, especially during the season. #Sabres poll: Who will lead the Sabres in PIMs during the 2012-13 season?Kaleta, Ott, John Scott, McCormick...
