The Hershey Bears' Alexandre Giroux netted his 50th goal yesterday, just three shy of Tony Cassolato's all-time
Bears franchise record of 53
tallies in a single season. No Bears player has hit the 50 mark in the past 22 seasons.Giroux has seen some time with the Caps this season -- 12 games, with a goal (a GWG to be precise), an assist, and a +4 rating -- making his AHL-scorching performance all the more impressive.Kudos to Giroux, and here's hoping he can translate that AHL scoring touch to the bigs in the very near future.
