The current record for most games played in a row with the Los Angeles Kings is 324 by Marcel Dionne. Tomorrow at 5 p.m. PT against the Nashville Predators, in all likelihood, Anze Kopitar will break that record as it will be his 325th straight contest. March 21, 2007 marked the beginning of the streak. While good health is key to such a stretch, the past 324 games have not been without injury for Kopitar. Take this season’s opener, for instance. He was hit in the face by a stick. It took 18 stitches to close the resulting gash, yet Kopitar played the very next night. Anze Kopitar–a testament to the toughness of hockey players.
