Avs’ Duchene talks about personal, team goals for 2011-12; Plus, Jiggy speaks

Matt Duchene checks in here, talking about, among other things, his thoughts on whomever is named the Avalanche’s captain this season and his overall goals for himself and the team. By the way: Duchene is no longer living in the basement at Adam Foote’s house. He has a place of his own now. Also, here’s a minute with Jiggy, J.S. Giguere. I think he’s going to play very well this season. But what do I know? A couple other things real briefly: - The Avs will announce on opening night what kind of tribute they have planned for Ruslan Salei, Karlis Skrastins and Wade Belak, the former Avs who all lost their lives this summer. I think it’s safe to expect some kind of patch or sticker on the uniform. - A lot of guys really did look bigger coming to camp, in a good way. TJ Galiardi looks like he’s put on a good 20 pounds of muscle, no joke. This team won’t be pushed around as easy as the last few.
