Some might consider the Blackhawks lucky for getting out of their annual Circus Trip with a .500 record, especially after the disaster that took place in their two games in Alberta. But overall, the Blackhawks’ play on the trip was solid, and it was again on Saturday as they closed out the trip with a win over the Los Angeles Kings. The biggest surprise in this one was the fact that Dan Carcillo was a healthy scratch for the first time this season. This came after a poor performance against Anaheim, leaving John Scott to take his place among the forwards. The only reasoning for throwing Scott in is the fact that he had that brutal fight against Kevin Westgarth last year that left Westgarth bloodied. Nonetheless, even Scott turned in a decent performance as the Hawks took a 2-1 game in LA to win their eighth straight game over the Kings. Andrew Brunette got the Hawks, who never trailed in the game, on the board first. After a point shot that went wide, Brunette put one past Jon...

Smokey's Player Of The Week

After the disaster of Alberta -- when the Hawks lost 9-2 - this week was a fine rebound for the Chicago hockey club. Who led the charge and who was riding shotgun for the 2-1 run? Take-Aways from Friday's Blackhawks Game

Not one for those with the high blood pressure, was it? There shouldn't be marker games in November against a team that is plummeting toward Earth like a tank dropped out of a plane with no parachute (just watched A-Team, sorry). That would be a game you look back at the end of the season and say, "That was when it came together" or "That was a springboard."...

Ducks Hunted | Blackhawks 6 - Ducks 5

"Anyone else have anything to say? No? Yeah, that's what I thought."Remember when the Ducks scored two goals within the first three minutes of the game, the Blackhawks didn’t even get a shot on net until six minutes in, and the first two periods were absolutely abysmal? Then between the second and third period I went to check my mail and a package from the Blackhawks...
