Game One of the Stanley Cup Finals was an instant classic, as the Chicago Blackhawks managed to win triple-OT after facing a 3-1 deficit to the Boston Bruins. It was certainly memorable for all the fans in attendance, especially the game-winner in sudden death. However, one fan probably will remember the game for what happened to her a bit more. With 90 seconds remaining in regulation, according to the report from Fox 32 News in Chicago, this fan took a puck from an errant shot right square in the face. She allowed the station to share the damage done: #Blackhawks fan hit in face with puck last night during Game 1 of #StanleyCup finals expected to recover fully. pic.twitter.com/jQX1h2Agkc — FOX 32 News (@fox32news) June 14, 2013 She’s was to have surgery on Thursday and is expected to make a full recovery. “Chicago Stronger” t-shirts were actually made

A Chicago-based t-shirt company thought it was a good idea to play off the Boston slogan “Boston strong” stemming from the terrible tragedy during the Boston Marathon. Cubby Tees manufactured “Chicago Stronger” t-shirts for Blackhawks fans to wear during the Stanley Cup against the Bruins.  The Blackhawks lead the series one game to none.  Cubby Tees provided the following...

Chicago Was Close To Going Up 2-0 In The First Period

Listen To a Mic’d Up Andrew Shaw Score and Celebrate a Triple Overtime Winner

Claude Julien’s ‘Hunch’ Pays Off As Tyler Seguin, Chris Kelly and Daniel Paille Propel Bruins

Bruins head coach Claude Julien usually isn’t one to make too many in-game adjustments with his lineup. He did so, on a hunch, Saturday night in Game 2 of Stanley Cup Final, and that’s arguably the biggest reason the B’s are headed back to Boston with the series tied 1-1. After a horrible start to Game 2 where the Bruins were practically run out of the building by the Blackhawks...

Bruins Lucky to Be Hanging Around Early Against Blackhawks While Chicago Lays Siege to Tuukka Rask (Video)

The Blackhawks wasted little time putting the pressure on the Bruins in Game 2, but the B’s are hanging around. Boston is probably lucky to only be trailing by one goal after a frantic first period, in which Tuukka Rask made more saves than Corey Crawford might have to all game. NESN Nation’s Dan Duquette is a little worried about the B’s, but he knows this could have gotten...

The Dropkick Murphys are huge Boston sports fans. When you’re a band that plays the majority of your gigs at night, however, that makes it difficult to catch games..
