After letting Antti Niemi go and signing Marty Turco to a one year deal, the Blackhawks have made more roster moves with the signings of Evan Brophey, Nathan Davis, Hugh Jessiman, Jassen Cullimore, and Hannu Toivonen to one year deals and Igor Makarov to a two year deal.
Evan Brophey was a third round pick in the 2005 draft by the Blackhawks. He played with the Rockford Ice Hogs last season and had 14 goals and 17 assists.
Nathan Davis was also a third round pick by the Blackhawks in 2005. He played in 23 games last season with Rockford and had 8 goals, 3 assists, and a +7 plus/minus rating.
Hugh Jessiman played with the Milwaukee Admirals last season and had a career high 20 goals and 42 points.
Jassen Cullimore is an NHL veteran that had previously played two seasons with the Blackhawks. He had 2 goals and 8 assists last season with Rockford.
Hannu Toivonen was 1-4-0 with a 3.44 GAA and .883 save percentage with Rockford last season.
Igor Makarov was the Blackhawks’ 2nd pick...
