The questionable high hits keep on coming in the NHL, and there was another sketchy check added to that growing list on Sunday.
Columbus Blue Jackets forward Brandon Dubinsky was the latest to push the envelope, as he was ejected Sunday against the Anaheim Ducks. The ejection came after Dubinsky went high on a hit against Anaheim Ducks forward Saku Koivu.
Dubinsky caught Koivu when the Ducks forward wasn’t looking, and Dubinsky appeared to deliver an elbow to Koivu’s head. It certainly appears to be the type of hit that the NHL will look at and there could be supplemental discipline coming Dubinsky’s way.
Koivu was also injured on the play and did not return.
