Columbus Blue Jackets defenseman Jack Johnson has been named captain for Team USA at the 2012 world championships, which begin Friday in Helsinki and Stockholm, USA Hockey announced Thursday. Johnson, who was acquired by the Blue Jackets Feb. 23, will serve as team captain for the second time. He also held the honor on the 2010 world championships team. Johnson had a combined 12 goals and 26 points in 82 games with the Blue Jackets and Los Angeles Kings this season.
