New York Rangers
DALLAS -- David Perron contributed two goals and one assist, leading the St. Louis Blues to a 4-3 win over the Dallas Stars at American Airlines Center on Saturday. Both of Perron's goals came in the second period, when the Blues exploded for three unanswered after trailing 2-1 at the first intermission. "I thought Perron was head and shoulders the best player on the ice and was very, very good," Blues coach Ken Hitchcock said. "It's his tenacity on the puck, for the puck, with the puck. He was a major factor." Perron's first of the night and the season came after he skated around several Dallas players and drained a wrister midway through the period. After assisting on Chris Stewart's goal that put St. Louis ahead to stay at 3-2, Perron scored again with 16 seconds left in the period after Blues rookie Vladimir Tarasenko intercepted a wayward pass from Dallas defenseman Trevor Daley. "I like to handle the puck a lot and when I do that...

The Stars get another tough Central Division test tonight as the Blues come into town. St. Louis is one of the most well-rounded teams in the league and an infusion of youth has given their offense an extra kick so far this season.
The St. Louis Blues have proven to be a force out of the gate.
While the Minnesota Wild also started strong, they've since taken a couple of steps back.

Blues to wear #6 Musial jerseys
The Dallas Stars have put backup goalie Cristopher Nilstorp on the injured list and called up Richard Bachman from their minor league affiliate.
The move Sunday came a day after Nilstorp injured a groin in the third period of a 4-3 loss to St. Louis and eventually left the game. Nilstorp has both Dallas losses filling in for starter Kari Lehtonen.
Bachman is 3-1 in four games with...
The Dallas Stars have recalled goaltender Richard Bachman and sent goalie prospect Jack Campbell back to their AHL affiliate.
Bachman will return to his role as the backup for Kari Lehtonen after appearing in two games and winning both for the Texas Stars. Bachman is 1-3 in four starts for Dallas this season, and he got another win when he replaced an injured Lehtonen in the first...

Dallas Stars 2 – Chicago Blackhawks 3
Dallas was both unlucky and very fortunate to get at least a point in this game. Chicago dominated possession of the puck and put enormous pressure on Kari Lehtonen the entire game. The Stars couldn’t stay out of the penalty box and that, in the end, was the difference in the game as the Hawks scored three power play...
Now that the Dallas Stars finally have reached a contract agreement with their star player, they can devote their full attention to what's happening on the ice.
Jamie Benn likely won't be around, though, to try and help contain Blues rookie sensation Vladimir Tarasenko.

Wade Redden last scored in the NHL on March 10, 2010, that is of course until last night.
Darren Pang described the goal as a "kind of a double-I formation."
The Dallas Stars haven't been able to close out their last two opponents, but having Jamie Benn back could help if they're in that position again Monday night at Columbus.
So could first-liners Jaromir Jagr and Derek Roy.
Benn could make his season debut and Jagr and Roy might return from one-game injury absences as the Stars face a Blue Jackets team that's winless...
