The Winnipeg Jets have just 11 points this season, but that’s not evident in the way they play against the Bruins. Sunday’s matchup was another tight battle, with Brad Marchand‘s power-play goal just 36 seconds into the third period proving to be the game-winner in a 3-2 Boston victory. Marchand navigated through the Winnipeg defense and employed a nifty backhand shot to send the puck past Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec. It was the eighth goal of the year feisty winger, who has twice as many tallies as any other Bruin this season. Check out the eventual game-winner above in the Amica Coverage Cam.

Brad Marchand Completes ‘Road Trip Rally’ as Bruins Come Back Against Jets (Video)

The Bruins answered the bell against the Jets on Sunday. Then, they did it again. Tobias Enstrom Injury Will Be Tough Blow to Winnipeg’s Offensive Attack (Video)

For a team like the Winnipeg Jets that is already fighting to remain in the playoff picture, keeping your best players healthy and on the ice is a top priority. Unfortunately for the Jets, who are tied with Washington for last place in the Southeast Division, they will be without defenseman Tobias Enstrom when they host the Bruins on Sunday. Enstrom left Saturday’s loss to Pittsburgh...

Claude Julien, Tyler Seguin, Dougie Hamilton Among Boston Bruins to Visit Newtown Connecticut (Photos)

As the Bruins continue to take it to the league’s best competition on the ice, they still find time to give back to communities off the ice. A number of Bruins, including head coach Claude Julien, center Tyler Seguin and rookie defenseman Dougie Hamilton, took a trip down to Newtown, Conn., on Monday. The B’s payed their respects to the families and children of Newtown...

Dougie Hamilton’s Early NHL Success Comes as No Surprise to Those Who Watched Him Grow

Dougie Hamilton‘s skill and talent level have been easy to see through the first quarter of his first NHL season. Occasional glimpses of that are to be expected of a first-round draft pick who many pegged as a fixture on the Bruins’ blue line for years to come. However, it is a bit surprising that the 19-year-old has been so effective already. He’s been trusted to play important...

Bruins Players Play Street Hockey With Kids, Sign Autographs During Trip to Newtown, Conn. (Video)

The Bruins were able to provide a day to remember for a community that has withstood such incredible hardship over the past few months. Peter Tessier: What can Change the Jets Fortunes?

Follow Pete on Twitter right HERE Score more goals and let fewer in their own net would be the sensible yet sarcastic response, but that’s the way things are beginning to unravel in Winnipeg right now. Improved effort is equaling sarcastic jabs from the fans and more than a few media. It’s not about what can change and what must change, that is clear to the most casual...

Shawn Thornton’s Penalty Shot Highlights Bruins’ Short History With Jets

Bruins fans are accustomed to seeing Shawn Thornton settling things on the ice with his fists, but many forget that he’s capable of pulling some nifty offensive maneuvers as well. That was on display in a game between the B’s and Winnipeg Jets back on Jan. 10, 2012, when the Boston brawler used some fancy stickwork to beat Jets goalie Ondrej Pavelec on a penalty shot. But don’t...

Bruins Find Surprising Support in Winnipeg Despite Jets’ Reputation for Home-Ice Advantage (Video)

The Winnipeg Jets were a roaring success at home in their first season after returning to Manitoba from Atlanta. This year hasn’t been quite the same story. Despite a reputation as one of the toughest venues to play in, the MTS Center was infiltrated by many Bruins fans on Sunday night — much to the chagrin of Jets supporters showing up to root for the home team. NESN Nation’s...

Jets Need To Start Winning

from Gary Lawless of the Winnipeg Free Press, Eight days without any points and the Winnipeg Jets find themselves descending the stairs into the NHL’s basement. They’re not quite all the way down but they can see the cellar floor. Late Second-Period Goal Key in ‘Desperation’ Game for Bruins (Video)

Those who chose to take an early intermission break during Sunday’s Bruins-Jets game were sorely mistaken. Evander Kane scored to give Winnipeg a 2-1 lead with 27 seconds remaining in the second period, but the action didn’t cease there. Johnny Boychuk responded for Boston, sending a slap shot that was tipped by teammate Daniel Paille past Ondrej Pavelec with just 1.5 seconds...

Bruins Letting Good Chances Slip Away Again After Getting Burned for It Against Sabres (Video)

The Bruins are getting plenty of good chances against the Winnipeg Jets — now, it’s just up to the B’s to start capitalizing on them. Once again, Boston seems the better team early on, but the scoreboard has yet to reflect that. After seeing a lead slip away against the Sabres that could have been insurmountable, the Bruins would do well to start taking advantage of the chances...

No Looch against Jets

If the Boston Bruins want to break their two-game losing streak they'll have to do it with out MIlan Lucic. After practice today Claude Julien said Looch won't be available for tomorrow's game against the Winnipeg Jets due to personal reasons. He's returning to Boston right away, No Milan Lucic vs. WPG. Has returned to Boston for personal reason. — Fluto...

Peter Tessier: Marking Time against the Bruins

Things are getting desperate for the Winnipeg Jets and today will not be any easier. Facing the Bruins on the last game of a home stand before 5 on the road is not the most ideal situation for a team struggling to put together a solid 60 minutes of effort. One might ponder the simple question of "what gives with the Jets?". They would have a harder time answering that...
