Brett Cook has played the last five seasons in the Ontario Hockey League for both the Erie Otters and London Knights.  This year, he was playing for Nipissing University in Ontario.  According to the Toronto Sun, the Ontario University Athletics announced Wednesday that during a February incident, Cook had effectively “Ni-pissed” his future in college hockey goodbye. Cook was given what amounts to a lifetime suspension after slugging linesman Nicholas Piche during a playoff game against L’Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières in Quebec. He had four years of university eligibility remaining. The incident occurred following a third-period scrap between Cook and a UQTR player.
