Jarome Iginla will not be donning the spoked-B any time soon and the Lightning have shot down trade talk involving Martin St. Louis, but that does not mean the Bruins cannot still dream big as the NHL trade deadline approaches.
Brian Campbell is the solid defenseman the Bruins could use, but the Panthers might need some convincing to part with him. Calgary’s Jay Bouwmeester, San Jose’s Dan Boyle and the Islanders’ Brad Boyes are also names Bruins fans should watch this week.
Check out some potential Bruins trade targets being discussed by Dale Arnold and Barry Pederson in the video above, then tune in for NESN’s special trade deadline coverage Wednesday starting at 2 p.m.

Welcome to the Sports Blitz’s March Round up of NHL action around the league. We’re releasing this one early thanks to the big Iginla trade and so we could cover the trade deadline before TSN blankets your Twitter account on Wednesday. We’ll be back next week with a full recap and reaction to every trade that goes down.
The Pittsburgh Penguins continued riding their hot streak...
Jarome Iginla bid farewell to the city of Calgary on Thursday with same the class and dignity he displayed on and off the ice with the Flames over 16 NHL seasons.
"I want to thank the fans in Calgary," the now-former Flames captain told reporters at a crowded Ed Whalen Media Lounge at Scotiabank Saddledome.
"I never thought I'd play here...

It’s been a long two days since the Bruins last played, and there was no shortage of drama during that time.
After blowing late leads against the Montreal Canadiens and losing out on the Jarome Iginla sweepstakes, the Bruins would be well within their rights to come out angry Saturday in Philadelphia. Of course, they’re professionals and will likely keep an even keel, but it...

Wednesday was a whirlwind night in Boston.
Just when the Bruins thought they had acquired Flames legend Jarome Iginla in a trade, Calgary called them back and broke the news; Iginla was a Penguin, not a Bruin.
It’s one of the strangest situations NHL fans have seen in a very long time. Multiple reports throughout the night indicated...
The Penguins were in really good shape before they started adding really good players to its already really good lineup.
But this is really ridiculous.
As brought to attention by NHL public relations, the Pens now have 10 players who were NHL first-round draft picks, after adding former Calgary forward Jarome Iginla late Wednesday night.
Check out the list below.
The Penguins will have to go for their 15th straight victory Saturday without their captain Sidney Crosby.
The Pittsburgh superstar took a puck right to the face in the first period against the Islanders, and was forced to head to the hospital after the injury. Teammate Brooks Orpik‘s shot deflected and struck Crosby directly in the face, causing him to bleed and leave the game...
The past couple weeks have been, strange, to say the least, for the Bruins. Their outstanding start has started to level off, maybe even decline. The schedule sped up, and games have been jam packed into the weeks. Injuries have plagued the team, causing many different guys to suit up and play. The B's "got" Jarome Iginla, and then didn't. And yet through all of...
The Calgary Flames are not a very good team. They have the second worst record in the West Conference. Their future doesn't look any better as most of their key players are aging and approaching free agency. They have few young players with significant potential to take their place.
For the last several years Jarome Iginla has been the heart of the franchise. This week...
The dust is beginning to settle from the fallout of one of the craziest nights in recent Boston hockey history. The Bruins played a crazy game against Montreal while trade winds blew into a all out hurricane. The Bruins had aquired Jarome Iginla.
Untill 2 AM. When reports came out that Jarome went not to the Bruins but to the Pittsburgh Penguins. Most Bruins fans were sleeping...
There's an odd feeling surrounding the Calgary Flames as they move on without Jarome Iginla.
The Columbus Blue Jackets, meanwhile, are having a familiar feeling as they conclude a winless four-game road trip.
The Flames can record their first nine-game win streak at home in six seasons Friday night against the Blue Jackets in this matchup of floundering Western Conference teams...
As the Pittsburgh Penguins were putting the finishing touches on their 15th consecutive win Saturday afternoon, the Bruins were putting the finishing touches on arguably their worst showing of the season.
And we’re all supposed to be shocked and dismayed that Jarome Iginla picked the Pens over the B’s?
The Bruins, despite coming off their final two-day break this season, sleepwalked...
Jarome Iginla has come and gone. He chose Pittsburgh over Boston and it's a done deal. Yesterday we all collectively woke up and cried abour Ray Shero having wizard powers, picture of Gary Bettman at a glory hole and Donald Fehr drowning in a bag of dicks. Now it's time for the Bruins, and the fans, to move on from having the rug pulled out from underneath them and...
