Matt Walker took a roughing penalty at the end of the first period in game-4, giving the Red Wings a power-play opportunity. The power-play would result in a goal for Detroit, giving them a 3-0 lead.
Furious with the call, Blackhawks' Head Coach Joel Quenneville said it was "the worst call in the history of sports."
As expected, the NHL took exception to the comment, and fined Quenneville $10,000 for his criticism.
Quenneville's reaction: "What happened happened
and we want to move on," he said. "What I said is over and
done with. After a game, sometimes you're more emotional than other
games."
