Penguins @ Capitals - Game-5: Penguins Win 4-3
Following a scoreless first period, Jordan Staal would give the Penguins a 1-0 lead five minutes into the second period. The lead wouldn't last long, with Alexander Ovechkin scoring just 59-seconds later to tie it up. Washington would be leading 2-1 by the end of the second period.
Pittsburgh would regain the lead early in the third period on two early goals by Ruslan Fedotenko (4) and Matt Cooke (1). With 4-minutes remaining in regulation, Ovechkin scoring his 10th goal of the playoffs to tie tie the game. The game would go into overtime.
3:28 into overtime, with 1-second remaining on a power-play, Evgeni Malkin put a shot on goal that would deflect off the stick of Capitals' Defenseman Tom Poti for the game winning goal.
Pittsburgh trailed the series 2-0, but head back to Pittsburgh with a 3-2 lead, and a chance to win the series on home ice.
