The Boston Bruins came to Buffalo ready to play.  They were hungry for their third win over the Buffalo Sabres on the season, and their forecheck showed that they were in town for one reason only, to deny Buffalo two points and to climb higher above them in the standings.

Only problem for the Bruins, is they didn’t expect Drew Stafford to have one of those flash in the pan career nights like he did last night.

Watching last nights game was like watching a game in mirror land where every thing is exactly opposite of what really happens.  Typically this Buffalo Sabres team will score, and then allow the other team to take the wind out of the momentum sails by scoring a fast goal.  Every time the Bruins scored last night, Drew Stafford was there with an answer to keep the Sabres in the game.

It was a night of three’s for Drew Stafford, as he scored three goals, to get a natural hat trick, and the third hat trick of his career.

The Sabres are funning and sunning this week, with their annual trip to Florida to play Tamba Bay and wallow away for 60 minutes against the Florida Panthers who are fresh off of blowing a 3-0 lead by losing to the Carolina Hurricanes 4-3.
