The Bruins’ fourth line has no shortage of fans around the Boston area, thanks to the unit’s energetic play that seems to come through just when the B’s need it the most. That line could also be a difference-maker during the team’s Eastern Conference semifinals against the New York Rangers. According to NESN’s Jack Edwards and Andy Brickley, the Boston forwards could end up playing a key role in this series because the Rangers just don’t have the depth up front to match up with the B’s. On defense, however, the two tell a different tale. See what Jack and Brick have to say in the the video above or on NESN’s YouTube channel.

Boston's rookies showing veteran poise

Dougie Hamilton, Matt Bartkowski and Torey Krug. Three names most Bruins fans probably did not expect to hear much about coming into the 2013 NHL playoffs. The three rookie defenseman, while stacked with potential as future blue liners in the Bruins' lineup, figured to play minimal roles in whatever cup run the Boston Bruins were going to make. However, by the end of a strenuous 7...

Bruins Need Dennis Seidenberg, Andrew Ference Back Despite Impressive Play of Young Defensemen (Video)

The Bruins have been doing fine without Dennis Seidenberg and Andrew Ference, but that’s not to say Boston’s luck will continue. Dougie Hamilton, Matt Bartkowski and Torey Krug‘s play has been “astonishing,” according to DJ Bean of WEEI.com, but getting Seidenberg and Ference back would be a boost for the Bruins if they hope to best the Rangers. At this point, Bean thinks...

Jaromir Jagr Not Content With Bruins’ 2-0 Lead Over Rangers, Puts in Practice Time Alone Three Hours After Bruins Win (Photo)

The Bruins posted a dominant 5-2 win over the New York Rangers to pull ahead to two games to none in the Eastern Conference semifinals on Sunday night. But Jaromir Jagr didn’t see that fact as enough to warrant a night off. The forward is in the midst of a playoff scoring drought that dates back to his time with the Philadelphia Flyers, and it’s possible he’s hoping to contribute...

Bruins-Rangers: The Jagr Knows DEDICATION As He Skates AFTER Playoff Victory (PHOTO)

(PHOTO: Twitter) Bruins fans have complained that Jaromir Jagr has not produced since his arrival in Boston. People are expecting the Jagr from his heyday in Pittsburgh from ’93 rather than the Jagr on the back nine of his career in ’13. However, no one can question the Jagr’s love, respect and dedication for the ladies to the game. Jaromir Jagr is skating on the TD Garden...

Game three running diary: Bruins better

The Boston Bruins won game two fairly convincingly The past few weeks over here for me have been a blur. With my final finals period at university and graduation and starting a new job, not even the crazy first round series for the Boston Bruins could help me find time to write blog posts. As a result, Boston’s Bettah has been a place where posts have been infrequent and not exactly...

Gregory Campbell and Derek Dorsett square off in rare Playoff tilt

With a game two victory in hand, the Boston Bruins were content to just let the clock run out but the New York Rangers wanted to send a message.  Rangers forward Derek Dorsett was a pest all game, and finally found a dance partner in Gregory Campbell.  Campbell is a tough customer but not nearly the same quality fighter that Dorsett is.  I give Campbell credit for dropping the...

(Welcome to the TD Garden for today's matinee Game 2 affair between the Boston Bruins and New York Rangers...) Ah, nothin' says playoff hockey like a three o'clock game on a Sunday afternoon, right?
