PITTSBURGH - JANUARY 21: Forward Alexander Semin #28 of the Washington Capitals waits for a face off against the Pittsburgh Penguins on January 21, 2010 at Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. (Photo by Jamie Sabau/Getty Images)
Former Washington Capital Alexander Semin made his first appearance against his old team. Now a member of the Carolina Hurricanes, it is clear that Semin still has some fans in the D.C. area…like this girl who loves her some Semin. Is this just an innocent sign made by a legitimate fan of Alexander Semin, or did she know what she was doing? We don’t want to put the girl on blast but with its simplicity comes some hilarity, and something about the snow bikini photos tells us she knew what she was doing. What did she mean by hoping Semin scored for Brouwer? Well, Troy Brouwer, a member of the Capitals had some choice words after Semin skipped town for Carolina: It was tough to lose his scoring ability when he wanted to play. But all in all, I think we’ve been doing well without him. Ouch. Brouwer continued: Some nights you didn’t even know if he was gonna come to the rink. It’s tough to play alongside guys like those because you don’t know what you’re gonna get out of ‘em. Poor Melissa didn’t get her wish. The Capitals won 3-0 and naturally Semin was held scoreless.
