The worst scoring offense in the National Hockey League will be without two of it’s best offensive threats for some of the upcoming road trip. The Nashville Predators have placed Colin Wilson and Patric Hornqvist on IR and, according to 102.5 The Game’s Willy Daunic, both will be out at least the next two games. Wilson is the team’s current leader in goals with seven and Hornqvist led the team in scoring last season (27 goals) and in 2009-10 (30). Replacing Wilson and Hornqvist is no easy task, especially for this club. So who will fill the holes left in the lineup? Forward Brandon Yip skated with the team today and was activated from the injured reserve. Matt Halischuk, who was sent to the Milwaukee Admirals last week on a conditioning assignment, is back with the Predators and will play against the Dallas Stars on Tuesday night. Halischuk, who had 15 goals for the Predators last season, tallied three points in two games during his conditioning stint in the AHL. The official press ...

Saturday’s loss to Wild suggests Nashville’s offense on Friday was just an anomaly…

Maybe I have. Tonight in Dallas, the Predators start a 5 game road trip that many are rightfully deeming the “fate of this season.” I won’t belabor the point and tell you Nashville’s...
