Found January 21, 2013 on PredsOnTheGlass:
There's not too many comments from the couch tonight, primarily due the the scheduling of a 5 p.m. start on a day when everyone in the Mid-state area that doesn't work for the government or a bank was either at work or heading out into rush hour traffic for the puck drop.I find it totally incredible that for the second game in a row that Bridgestone Arena had a sellout crowd of 17,113. In spite of all the intense whining and gnashing of teeth during the lockout, citizens of Smashville have obviously forgiven and forgotten all the angst of the past four months. For the Predators, tonight's hero had to be Patric Hornqvist who had his tenth career three point game with a goal and two assists. Mike Fisher and Marty Erat also has two point games in the loss. I wonder if anyone got a "no, no, no, no, no..." out of him in the postgame interviews. The Preds were outshot 39-24 and fared even worse in the Corsi at 71-42. They have got to start getting more pressure on the ...

Better effort, but same result; Predators fall 4-3 in shootout to Blues

The Predators are two games into the 2012-13 season, and have dropped both contests in a shootout to division foes. Leading 3-2 in the third period, Nashville allowed the St. Louis Blues to tie the game with just under 8 minutes remaining in regulation. Despite the frustrating loss, Predators forward Mike Fisher saw a silver lining. “It was a battle all game going back and forth...

Three Minutes With: Preds prospect Zoltan Hetenyi…

During training camp last week, we sat down with Nashville Predators prospect Zoltan Hetenyi. The Hungarian goaltender was invited to Development Camp last summer and impressed the brass. As a result, he was offered a one-year contract within the organization. He’s been playing with the Predators’ ECHL affiliate, the Cincinnati Cyclones, ever since. His 2.33 goals-against average...

Couch notes from Nashville's 3-1 win over Minnesota

The Importance of Being Chris Mason

By: Miranda Martin Miranda@Prednecknation.com Now more than ever is the time to have a good back-up goaltender. In this very short and very busy season, every NHL team is facing back-to-back games, generally with travel between. While this is very trying on every player, it is especially tiresome on a goalie. In a traditional  82-game season, it is generally acceptable for each...

Predators beat Wild for first win

Martin Erat scored an unassisted goal for Nashville with 8:15 left when Minnesota goalie Niklas Backstrom couldn't clear the puck cleanly, and the Predators earned their first victory by beating the Wild 3-1 on Tuesday night. Ryan Spaling had a goal late in the first period, and Chris Mason made 29 saves for the Predators in his first start of the season. He denied Dany Heatley...

The Morning After: Preseason’s Over

By Miranda Martin Miranda@Prednecknation.com While everyone is waking up to their Sunday post-game hangover, alcohol-induced or not, the Nashville predators shootout loss against the Columbus blue jackets Saturday night was not what many were expecting. Before everyone calls the sky falling for the Predators, there were both good and bad points from the first game of the season...

Predators sing the Blues in another shootout loss

Another shootout loss goes in the books for the Nashville Predators as two games into the season, they have lost in the shootout twice. The St. Louis Blues get another win as Vladimir Tarasenko shows his skills to the city of Nashville. 3rd period mistake proves costly in 3-1 loss to Nashville

I used to frequent a wide variety of message boards back in the day, one of the best was good ol' Fanhome.  Fanhome was a site that had mini-message boards for all 30 of the league's teams and each board had a tight knit group of posters and some forums were more friendly than others.  One team I must admit I have a weakness for is the Nashville Predators.  I guess when...

The 303 Pre-Game: Preds vs. St. Louis…

IN ORDER TO WIN NASHVILLE: The first period. The Predators don’t necessarily need to score early but they need to keep the Blues from scoring early. Pekka Rinne played well against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Saturday night but was forced to settle for a shootout loss. If he can continue that strong play, Nashville should have no problem skating with their opponents tonight....

Predators 3, Wild 1

ST. PAUL, Minn. -- Martin Erat took advantage of a costly Wild turnover, scoring his first goal of the season into an empty net as the Nashville Predators won their first game of the season, 3-1 at Minnesota. Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom came out to play a loose puck, but could not get it past Erat, who intercepted the puck and scored with just over eight minutes left in the third...

Predators Get First Win of the Season in Minnesota

The Preds snuck past the Minnesota Wild and Ryan Suter to get their first win of the 2013 abbreviated season. With goals by Spaling and Erat, Nashville competed all game but never looked like the best team on the ice. They had trouble handling Minnesota's top two lines and, in true Predators form, struggled to set up offensively. But none the less, the Preds avoided overtime...

Blues rally, defeat Nashville in shootout

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) The St. Louis Blues have shown already that they can blow out a team. Now they've proven they can come back, even if it means winning in a shootout. T.J. Oshie and Alex Steen scored in the shootout, and the St. Louis Blues edged the Nashville Predators 4-3 on Monday night. The Blues won the Central Division last season, but the Predators won the season...

Photo Credit: AP Photo/Genevieve Ross Martin Erat’s game-winning goal at 11:45 of the third period would be the difference maker for Nashville as the Predators got their first win of the season, first road win of the year, and topped the Minnesota Wild tonight 3-1.
